What is periodontal treatment for? It is for the bacterial infection of the gums and bones that support your teeth. It is to stop the progression of your gum disease by scaling and root planning, and periodontal maintenance that lead to tooth loss and serious health problems.

Prevent gum disease by:

  • Brush your teeth and tongue at least twice daily.
